Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, design conditions, design requirements, multi-terminal flexible DC transmission systems, overvoltage and insulation coordination, primary equipment parameter requirements of converter stations, control and protection systems, and auxiliary systems for the design of flexible DC transmission systems. This standard applies to the design of flexible DC transmission systems based on modular multilevel converter topologies (excluding the design of DC lines and grounding electrode lines). Other topologies of flexible DC transmission systems or certain flexible DC transmission projects with special requirements can also refer to and use this standard.
