Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the selection of varieties of feed wheat and short-season cotton, as well as the cultivation techniques for feed oats and short-season cotton. This standard applies to the implementation of the "two-cropping" planting model in agricultural areas of Shandong Province, which involves alternately planting feed wheat and short-season cotton on the same plot. Main technical content: 3. Variety selection 3.1 Annual herbaceous wheat, with the main purpose of harvesting the nutritious parts of the plant, is a high-quality feed crop suitable for feeding cattle and sheep. It is recommended to select varieties with good palatability, high yield, cold resistance, and strong stress tolerance, and the seed quality should meet the requirements of GB 4404.1. 3.2 Short-season cotton varieties should have a growth period of 110 days, good early maturity, compact plant structure, short fruiting branches, few adventitious shoots, concentrated fruiting, and suitability for machine harvesting. They should also have good quality and strong stress resistance. Currently, approved varieties include Lu Mian 532, Lu Mian 551, Lu 54, Lu Mian 241, and Zhong Mian 425. The seed quality should meet the standards of GB 4404.1. 4. Cultivation techniques for feed oats All agricultural machinery operations mentioned below should comply with the safety operation rules for agricultural machinery specified in 2.2 of this standard. 4.1 Land preparation 4.1.1 Land preparation should be carried out in mid-to-late October, with the latest date no later than early November. 4.1.2 Fine-level cultivation of planting plots is essential. Considering the actual situation of land transfer in Shandong Province and the large-scale cultivation of feed wheat and the application of large-scale machinery, it is recommended to use laser leveling machines for fine-level cultivation before sowing. After land preparation, the specific standards are: within 5 meters of the s
