Scope
This standard specifies the test method for the flame retardant performance of synthetic fiber raw material pellets - the oxygen index method.
This method is suitable for polyester (PET) pellets, polyamide pellets, and polyamide-amide pellets. Other synthetic fiber raw material pellets can be used as a reference.
This standard is only used to determine the combustion performance of materials under laboratory conditions and to control product quality, and cannot be used as a basis for assessing the fire hazard under actual use conditions, or can only be used to analyze all factors of a material used for a particular purpose in the event of a fire. This standard is not suitable for evaluating materials with high shrinkage after heating.
