T/AHLB 011-2024 Technical Requirements for the Storage of Willow Logs

Scope

Scope: This document specifies the technical requirements for the storage of willow raw poles; Main technical contents: Technical requirements 4.1 - Select an environment for willow pole storage. Willow poles are generally stored outdoors in a stacked manner, and a location with high ground, open space, good ventilation, dryness, far away from fire sources, and water sources should be chosen. The water quality should meet the requirements of GB 5084, the air quality should comply with GB 9137, and the soil quality should meet the requirements of GB 15618. 4.2 - Build a cushion platform for willow pole storage. Before stacking willow poles, use sleepers, bricks, and special cushion pads to construct a 30-40 cm high, 12-14 m long, and 2.5-3 m wide air gap cushion platform, with the north-south orientation being preferred for the cushion platform. 4.3 - Stacking requirements. Tie up the bundled willow poles and stack them according to their categories. The root of the bundled willow poles should face outward, and they should be stacked layer by layer, head to head. Use strips to fill the gaps in the stack. Each layer of the stack should be outward, protruding a little, with a narrow base, a wide top, and a triangular rectangular stack at the top. 4.4 - Spraying pesticides for anti-corrosion. For stacked willow poles, it is required to spray pesticides such as insecticide and sulfur dioxide during stacking. Spray once on each layer of the first and second stacks, and then spray all the stacks once after stacking, and cover them with tarpaulins. Use methyl bromide to kill insects. In winter, spray the stored willow poles with 60 grams per cubic meter (45 grams per cubic meter in spring and summer) and seal them for 24 hours to prevent pests and insect damage. 4.5 - Anti-humidity measures. After stacking the willow poles outdoors, cover them with tarpaulins and secure them with ropes to prevent them from being blown away by the wind and getting wet or moldy
