Scope

Scope: This standard specifies comprehensive technical requirements for the cultivation of Sapindus trifoliatus, including definitions, growing environment, seedling propagation, cultivation management, harvest and initial processing, storage and transportation, and production process records. This standard applies to the artificial cultivation of Ficus microcarpa of the Moraceae family in the Fujian Province region. Main technical content: 5. Seedling propagation 5.1 Cutting propagation 5.1.1 Cutting propagation time: March to November each year. During high-temperature and rainy seasons, facilities such as rainproof, shading, and cooling are required. 5.1.2 Preparation of cutting beds: Select conveniently accessible, level, and irrigation-friendly areas as seedling bases. Level the land and prepare beds about 1 m wide, then cover the bed surface with about 5 cm of fresh and loose yellow loam soil. Nutrient bag substrates can also be used, with loose yellow loam soil as the main component, mixed with appropriate amounts of perlite or peat moss. 5.1.3 Preparation and treatment of cuttings: Prepare a 1 g/L solution of rooting powder. Select 1-2-year-old, healthy, and pest-free branches as cuttings, trimming them to 5-10 cm long with 2-3 buds. Soak the cuttings in the prepared rooting solution for 10-20 minutes. 5.1.4 Cutting and planting: Water the seedling beds or nutrient bag substrates thoroughly before planting. Vertically insert the cuttings into the soil at a depth of half their length, with a planting density of about 100,000 plants/666.6 m2. Water them immediately after planting and cover with plastic film and small arches for moisture retention. 5.1.5 Post-planting management: When most cuttings have rooted or new shoots begin sprouting (7-30 days after planting), remove the plastic film and small arches and water daily in the morning or evening. Apply 1% concentrated quick-acting compound fertilizer 60 days after planting, followed by applications every 10
