Scope

This standard specifies the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for the determination of phthalate ester compounds in vegetable oils. This standard is applicable to the determination of phthalate ester compounds in vegetable oils, including DMP (dimethyl phthalate), DEP (diethyl phthalate), DIBP (diisobutyl phthalate), DBP (dibutyl phthalate), DCHP (dicyclohexyl phthalate), DEHP (di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate), DINP (diisononyl phthalate), and DIDP (diisodecyl phthalate). The limit of quantification (LOQ) for this standard is 0.5 mg/kg for DINP and DIDP, and 0.05 mg/kg for the other compounds.
