Scope

This standard specifies the basic methods and technical requirements for the inspection and evaluation of metal atmospheric pressure tanks for the transport of liquid dangerous goods by road. This standard applies to tanks made of metal materials, which are permanently connected to standardized automobile chassis or semi-trailer frames, and are used for the transport of liquid dangerous goods with a working pressure of less than 0.1 MPa (gauge pressure, same below). This standard also applies to the media specified in Appendix A of GB 18564.1. For media outside the scope of Appendix A, the classification according to GB 12268 and GB 6944 shall be implemented, and the similar characteristics of the media specified in Appendix A of GB 18564.1 shall be referenced. This standard does not apply to vacuum-insulated structure tanks, military equipment tanks with special requirements, or dedicated airport tanks.
