This standard is applicable to the determination of seven coumarin derivatives, including coumarin and dihydrocoumarin, in water-based solutions, ointments, shampoos, loose powders, and lipsticks.
The detection and quantification limits of this standard are as follows: The detection limit of coumarin is 4 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 8 mg/kg; the detection limit of dihydrocoumarin is 10 mg/kg, and the quantification limit is 20 mg/kg; the detection limits of 7-methoxycoumarin, 7-methylcoumarin, 7-ethoxy-4-methylcoumarin, cyclic coumarin, biscoumarin, and nitroglycerin coumarin are 5 mg/kg, and the quantification limits are 10 mg/kg.
