T/CI 002-2023 The technical regulations for integrated control and prevention of cassava white leaf disease

Scope

Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, symptoms, and epidemic characteristics of sugarcane white leaf disease, as well as prevention and control principles and methods. This document is applicable to the comprehensive prevention and control of sugarcane white leaf disease. Main technical content: Prevention and control principles adhere to the concept of "scientific plant protection, public plant protection, and green plant protection"; and uphold the principle of "prevention-oriented, integrated prevention and control". Based on the characteristics of the occurrence and transmission of sugarcane white leaf disease, priority is given to planting disease-resistant varieties, using warm-water detoxified seedlings, conducting seedling health inspections, selecting disease-free seedlings, improving and enhancing the disease resistance of varieties through agronomic control measures, strengthening disease monitoring, and reducing the infection of sugarcane plants by the disease. 6 Prevention and Control Methods 6.1 Implement quarantine measures and strictly prohibit the transfer of sugarcane seedlings from disease-infected areas and fields. 6.2 Variety selection: It is recommended to choose disease-resistant varieties such as Yunzha 05-49, Yunzha 05-51, Yunzha 08-1609, Liucheng 05-136, Guangdong Sugar 83-88, Xintaisugar No. 1, Xintaisugar No. 10, Liucheng 03-182, Funong 38, and Gui Sugar 44, and promote the diversity of sugarcane varieties planted in the region, with a mix of early, middle, and late maturing varieties. 6.3 Seedlings 6.3.1 Select disease-free seedlings: Select healthy sugarcane plants from disease-free fields as seedlings, and conduct detection using nested PCR to ensure they do not carry the sugarcane white leaf disease pathogen. The detection method shall be implemented in accordance with T/CI 026. 6.3.2 Use warm-water detoxified seedlings: a) Produce warm-water detoxified seedlings in accordance with DB53/T 370. b
