Scope

This document specifies the classification and marking, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage, and transportation of low-rebound mooring and towing ropes for ships (hereinafter referred to as low-rebound ropes). This document applies to low-rebound ropes with a low-rebound component as the rope core, and ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber ropes and aramid fiber ropes as the load-bearing components, woven into ropes with a code of 16 to 96.
