Terms and definitions The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Langshan navel oranges Langshan navel oranges refer to early- and medium-ripe navel oranges grown in Ningning County, Hunan Province, between 110°18’E and 110°28’E, and 26°15’N and 26°50’N. The main varieties include Langfeng navel oranges, Newhall navel oranges, Calacalla red-flesh navel oranges, and Fuben navel oranges. The soluble solids content should be ≥11.5%, and the oranges should have quality characteristics such as "orange-red, smooth, rich flavor, fragrance, and good storage" that distinguish them from those of other production areas. 3.2 Production sites of Langshan navel oranges Areas within the administrative boundaries of Ningning County, Hunan Province, where Langshan navel oranges are produced. 3.3 Environmental requirements The natural conditions such as climate, irrigation water, and soil that affect the growth and quality of Langshan navel oranges. 4. Site selection 4.1 Climate selection Sufficient sunlight and a moderate climate with an average annual temperature of 17°C to 23°C, a minimum temperature of ≥-5°C, an average January temperature of ≥5°C, an annual accumulated temperature of ≥5200°C at ≥10°C, an annual sunshine duration of ≥1200 hours, an annual rainfall of ≥1000 mm, and a frost-free period of ≥280 days, as well as a climate with a day-night temperature difference of ≥10°C during the fruit ripening period. 4.2 Topography Suitable for mountainous and hilly areas with a slope of less than 30°, with north-facing slopes not recommended for planting. 4.3 Soil Suitable f
