Scope

This standard specifies the project categories and letter codes classified by purpose and task, expands the content of the GB/T5094.2 table "Project Categories and Letter Codes Classified by Purpose and Task", and adds sub-categories (second letter codes).
This standard applies to all disciplines and standards, such as power generation, power distribution, processing machinery, shipbuilding, marine engineering, etc. More detailed classifications can be specified with additional letter codes.
This standard does not involve the letter code provisions for infrastructure projects and sub-categories in the GB/T5094.2 table "Infrastructure Projects and Categories".
