This standard applies to the calibration of handheld instruments capable of identifying radionuclides and indicating the dose equivalent rate around γ radiation, as well as to the calibration of radionuclide identification instruments with neutron detection capabilities.
This standard does not apply to the calibration of high-purity germanium γ spectrometers.
