Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents, as well as packaging, transportation, and storage for surface functional metal coatings of special non-metallic materials such as polyetheretherketone (PEEK), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyimide (PI), liquid crystal polymer (LCP), and their composites (hereinafter referred to as "special non-metallic materials"). This document applies to the surface of special non-metallic materials used in aerospace, and it is used to inspect and accept metal coatings prepared by electroplating or chemical plating methods, including nickel + gold coatings, nickel + silver coatings, copper + nickel + gold coatings, copper + nickel + silver coatings, and nickel coatings, which are used to achieve conductivity and welding functions. The inspection and acceptance of metal coatings on other special non-metallic materials can be referenced for use.
