Scope

This standard specifies the calibration devices and instruments, calibration procedures, markings and lead seals, and calibration records and reports for the automatic calibration method of safety valves. This standard is applicable to the offline constant-temperature automatic calibration of spring-loaded direct-load safety valves for the setting pressure and sealing test, with the calibration medium being bottled nitrogen or clean compressed air and the back pressure being atmospheric pressure. If the user's operating conditions are non-temperature-controlled, the user needs to provide a temperature correction coefficient to conduct a corrected calibration based on the working temperature coefficient.
