Scope
Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions of mango flower removal in Palaengda, the flower removal technique, post-flower removal processing, fertilization, soil moisture management, and technical requirements for pest and disease control. This document applies to Palaengda mango trees planted at altitudes below 1,200 m. Main technical content: 1. Flower removal technique: Flower removal should be completed within 10 to 15 days after Start of Spring. Requirements for flower removal include removing all flower clusters from the entire tree. The removal method involves removing the entire flower cluster from the base of the flower stalk. Figure 1: Base of flower stalk; Figure 2: Removal site. 2. Post-flower removal processing: Wound treatment after flower removal can be carried out using one of the following methods: - Spraying 70% Metconazole WP at a concentration of 800 to 1,200 times; - Spraying 50% Spiroxamine SC at a concentration of 2,500 to 3,000 times; - Spraying 80% Ziram WP at a concentration of 600 to 800 times; - Spraying 10% Difenoconazole WP at a concentration of 1,500 to 2,000 times; - Spraying 50% Oxathiapiprolin SC at a concentration of 2,000 to 3,000 times; - Spraying 250 g/L Pyraclostrobin EC at a concentration of 1,500 to 3,000 times, etc. 3. Pruning after flower removal: After flower removal, prune off dead branches, branches affected by pests and diseases, hidden branches, and excessive flower branches in early March. 4. Fertilization: - Before flower removal: 5 to 9 days before flower removal, apply 0.3 to 0.6 kg of potassium sulfate and 0.2 to 0.4 kg of magnesium sulfate per plant. The fertilizers used must comply with NY/T 394 requirements. - After flower removal: 3.2.1 Foliar fertilization: Spray 0.3% potassium phosphate once within 3 days after flower removal. During the fruit growth period, apply 10 to 20 g of manganese sulfate, 30 to 50 g of zinc sulfate, and 30 to 50 g of 55% humic acid potassium per plant. The fe
