Scope: This standard specifies the terms and definitions, production environment, cultivation management, processing, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking and labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of Hequ black beans. Terms and definitions: The following terms and definitions apply to this standard. 3.1 Hequ black beans: Hequ black beans are produced in the jurisdiction of Hequ County, using local excellent varieties, and meeting the requirements of this standard. 4. Production environment: 4.1 Landform characteristics: Hequ County is located on the eastern edge of the Loess Plateau, with a terrain of high in the east and low in the west, hilly and undulating, with an altitude ranging from 836 meters to 1,637 meters, and an average altitude of 1,240 meters. 4.2 Climate: Hequ County belongs to the temperate continental monsoon climate, with sufficient sunlight, large temperature differences between day and night, an average annual temperature of 9℃, an average annual precipitation of 480 millimeters, a frost-free period of about 150 days, and an average annual sunshine duration of 2,855 hours. 4.3 Soil: The soil in Hequ County belongs to the sandy soil of the Loess Plateau, with a deep soil layer, loose texture, and rich nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium nutrients, as well as high natural fertility. 4.4 Water sources: The Yellow River flows through the county for 76 kilometers, and there are four major tributaries: Quanchen River, Zhujia River, Nanqu Gully, and Wujiagou.
