Scope
Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, processing requirements, process flow, process operations, packaging and storage, and product quality management requirements for moxa processing. This document is applicable to the processing of moxa made from Artemisia argyi Lévl. et Vant. as the raw material. Main technical content: Moxa: A plant of the Asteraceae family, Artemisia argyi Lévl. et Vant. Moxa wool: A fine, soft, fluffy material processed from Artemisia leaves or whole Artemisia plants (excluding roots). Aged moxa: Dried and clean Artemisia leaves or whole Artemisia plants (excluding roots) stored in a dedicated warehouse for more than one year. Aged moxa is classified according to the storage period, including 1-year aged moxa, 2-year aged moxa, 3-year aged moxa, 5-year aged moxa, and 7-year aged moxa. Aged moxa wool: Moxa processed from aged moxa. According to the age of the aged moxa, it is defined as 1-year aged moxa wool, 2-year aged moxa wool, 3-year aged moxa wool, 5-year aged moxa wool, and 7-year aged moxa wool, etc.
