Basic Information
Scope
Scope: This standard specifies the definition, requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, marking, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of dried Jun dates. This standard applies to the classification of quality grades for dried Jun dates. Main technical content: Jun dates have a cylindrical or elongated ovoid fruit shape, a thin, deep red skin, and a smooth fruit surface. The flesh is thick, white or greenish-white, with a fine texture and a crispy texture. They are sweet with a moderate amount of juice and of high quality, suitable for fresh consumption, drying, processing into honey dates, and wine dates. They are characterized by early fruiting, rapid yield, high yield, long lifespan, resistance to frost, cold, salinity, and pests. Alar enjoys abundant sunlight, large daily temperature differences, and a unique geographical location, which makes the quality of the Jun dates grown there exceptionally high. In recent years, there are more than 400,000 mu of red dates in Alar City of the First Division that have reached their peak production period, with Jun dates being the main variety. However, in actual production, farmers often have a vague understanding of the concept of red date grades, which often results in good dates not fetching good prices, causing significant losses for farmers. To help farmers easily understand the concept of red date grades and increase their income, the technical team has specifically developed a highly practical and actionable "Alar Dried Jun Date Quality Grade" for farmers' reference.
