Scope

This document specifies a method for online or offline semi-quantitative monitoring of liquid particle contamination using filter membrane blocking technology (also known as mesh blocking method or pore blocking technology). This document also specifies the operating procedures for the correct use of laboratory and on-site calibration instruments and verification instruments.
The method described in this document is suitable for monitoring:
a) the cleanliness of hydraulic systems;
b) flushing processes;
c) auxiliary equipment and test benches.
This method is suitable for all single-phase or multi-phase liquid systems.
