Scope

This standard specifies the terms, technical requirements, test methods, test content, and pass/fail criteria for the explosion-proof performance test of crane wheels and rails in explosive gas environments. This standard applies to the explosion-proof performance test of cranes (explosion-proof bridge cranes, explosion-proof girder cranes, and explosion-proof electric hoists) used in Zone 1 and Zone 2 areas, and is used to evaluate the explosion-proof performance of crane wheels and running rails during operation. This standard also applies to the friction temperature rise test and friction spark test of crane wheels and rails. However, it does not apply to the explosion-proof performance test of crane wheels and rails in coal mines, explosives manufacturing and processing sites.
