Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the content of chlorotoluene (see Appendix A) in dye products.
This standard is applicable to the determination of chlorotoluene in commercial dyes, dye products, dye intermediates, and textile dyeing auxiliaries using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and gas chromatography-electron capture detector (GC-ECD).
