Scope
Scope: This document specifies the terminology and definitions, production requirements, quality requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, packaging, labeling, transportation, and storage of dual-use Astragalus for food and medicine. This document applies to the quality grading and dual-use requirements of dual-use Astragalus for food and medicine. Other Astragalus species may refer to this document for implementation. Main technical content: 4. Production requirements 4.1 Cultivation of dual-use Astragalus for food and medicine is carried out by two methods: transplanting and simulated wild cultivation. It shall comply with the requirements of Chapter 5.2 of T/GVEAIA 015.1-2020. 4.2 The dual-use parts of dual-use Astragalus for food and medicine shall comply with Table 1. Technical requirements 5.1 Specification and grading The specifications of dual-use Astragalus for food and medicine grown by different methods (transplanting and simulated wild cultivation) shall be based on the length of Astragalus and graded according to the diameter at 3.5 cm below the cut end. It shall comply with the requirements of Table 2.
