Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, quality indicators, base selection, determination of the period from the initiation of panicle to the end of flowering, arrangement of the sowing period for parental lines and the sowing and seedling stage, transplanting and growth regulation stage, young panicle differentiation stage, heading and grain filling stage, and management and record-keeping of seed production for hybrid rice using indica-type "three-line" (i.e., sterile line, maintainer line, and restorer line) hybrid rice. This standard is applicable to the production of first-generation hybrid seeds using indica-type sterile lines as female parents and restorer lines as male parents.
