Scope
This part of the standard specifies the sound propagation within the workplace and a prediction method for sound pressure levels and noise exposure in the workplace.
The details of the description of physical phenomena in the noise prediction scheme are closely related to the environment targeted and the modeling method of this environment (input parameters, calculation methods). This part summarizes this relationship, describes the method of noise prediction, and provides suggestions for noise control using noise prediction in the workplace. Appendices A to E provide examples of the application of the noise prediction method.
