Scope

This document describes the principle and method of converting the temperature field obtained by calculating based on thermal infrared images and infrared radiation characteristics into visible pseudo-color images through image processing technology, including the algorithm of converting the temperature field image into a gray-scale image, the algorithm of enhancing the gray-scale image, and the color lookup table that defines the pseudo-color RGB values corresponding to the gray-scale values. This document is applicable to infrared thermal imagers in fields such as biological detection, security, industrial temperature measurement, and agriculture. After obtaining the thermal infrared image and converting it into a temperature field image, the temperature field image is mapped to a gray-scale image and converted into a pseudo-color image displayed in RGB color representation.
