Scope

This standard specifies the classification and designations of iron oxide for ferrites (hereinafter referred to as iron oxide), technical requirements, testing methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and quality certificates, etc. This standard applies to iron oxide (Fe2O3) prepared by spray roasting of ferrous chloride. It also applies to iron oxide obtained by the ferrous sulfate method, thermal decomposition of carbonates, and other methods. This material is mainly used in the production of ferrite components, and can also be used for other industrial purposes.
