Scope

This document specifies the energy consumption (referred to as "energy efficiency") limits and technical requirements for toluene diisocyanate (TDI) and diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI) per unit product, as well as the scope of statistics, and describes the calculation method. This document applies to the calculation and assessment of energy consumption per unit product for TDI produced from raw materials such as dinitrotoluene (DNT), hydrogen, chlorine, and carbon monoxide, and for MDI produced from raw materials such as aniline, formaldehyde, chlorine, and carbon monoxide. It also applies to the energy consumption control of new and expanded/modified projects.
