This document stipulates the basic requirements, preparations, tank cleaning, degassing, and safety requirements for tank cleaning operations on chemical tankers. This document applies to tank cleaning operations on chemical tankers with a gross tonnage of 150 tons or more transporting bulk chemicals in waters under the jurisdiction of China.
