Scope
This document describes the method of determining the mass fraction of each component in a two-component composite fiber using melt microscopy. This document is applicable to two-component composite fibers that can be melt-identified and to textile products whose appearance has not changed. Note: For samples that can be tested using both the chemical dissolution method and this method, the chemical dissolution method should be preferred.
