Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for silk scarves and shawls. This standard applies to silk scarves and shawls made primarily from silk pure weave, silk mixed with other yarns, and silk blended with other fibers (with a silk content of 30% or more). For silk scarves with discharge printing, this standard shall be implemented with reference. This standard does not apply to silk scarves for infants, toddlers, and children.
