Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, marking, characteristics, scope of application, selection, design principles for overhead conductors with composite core, the selection of matching fittings and towers, as well as precautions for construction and operation and maintenance. This standard applies to composite core overhead conductors used in 35kV to 220kV AC overhead transmission lines. The use of composite core overhead conductors at other voltage levels can be implemented with reference to this standard.
