Scope

This standard provides methods for reporting detection and calibration results in detection reports and calibration certificates, as well as determining the conformity of detection and calibration results with specifications and methods for reporting them in detection reports and calibration certificates.
The reporting methods for detection or calibration results in this standard are applicable to all types of detection and calibration results.
The conformity determination and reporting methods in this standard are only applicable to cases where the uncertainty of measurement results is evaluated according to the methods specified in ISO/IEC 98-3 "Measurement Uncertainty - Part 3: Guidelines for the Expression of Uncertainty in Measurement" (GUM).
