Scope

This section specifies the requirements for the Level 1 Probabilistic Safety Assessment (PSA) of power operation against other external disasters. This section applies to the Level 1 PSA of power operation against other external disasters (excluding earthquakes, strong winds, and external flooding) in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. The Level 1 PSA of other internal disasters (excluding internal events, internal flooding, and internal fires) can also be referenced. Nuclear power plants of other reactor types can implement this section as a reference.
