Scope

This standard specifies the energy efficiency limits, energy efficiency grades, test methods, and inspection rules for tube-type fluorescent lamps embedded in luminaires. This standard applies to embedded luminaires of T8, T10, and T12 double-ended tube-type fluorescent lamps with inductive or electronic ballasts, and a light source power of no more than 40W (hereinafter referred to as "luminaires"), but does not include embedded luminaires with incompletely transparent covers on the light-emitting surface.
