Scope
This standard specifies the raw and auxiliary materials, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for thermoplastic plastic tableware. This standard applies to plastic tableware made primarily from thermoplastic resins such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), polystyrene (PS), acrylonitrile-styrene resin (AS), and polycarbonate (PC). This standard does not include technical requirements for microwave oven products used for output power above 2kW and cooking purposes. This standard does not apply to disposable plastic tableware and baby and toddler products.
