DB44/T 924-2011 Method for visually determining free water and particulate pollutants in distillate fuels
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the test methods for free water and particulate contaminants in distillate fuels. This standard is applicable to the on-site rapid determination and evaluation of free water and particulate contaminants in distillate fuels with a final distillation point below 400℃ and a color number not exceeding Grade 5 according to GB 6540. Method 1 is a rapid evaluation method for determining whether contaminants are present or not in distillate fuels; Method 2 is a general numerical rating method for evaluating the cloudy appearance. Note: When testing at temperatures below the fuel's cloud point, a small amount of solid wax particles may be mistaken for cloudiness or flocculation caused by water. Both methods are suitable for on-site testing at storage temperatures or for laboratory testing at specified temperatures.
