Scope

This document specifies the composition of zinc slag from the recycling and disposal of hot-dip galvanized steel, the methods of recycling and disposal of zinc slag, the selection of recycling methods, the recycling process, and resource conservation and environmental protection. This document applies to the recycling and disposal of zinc slag generated from hot-dip galvanized steel. Zinc slag generated from hot-dip galvanized aluminum and aluminum-zinc alloys can be referenced for implementation. This document does not apply to waste fluxes, flux additives, and dust collection (removal) devices generated during the solvent-based hot-dip galvanizing process, dust collected from flue gas, zinc sludge generated from chemical electrogalvanizing, and other zinc-containing waste sludge classified as hazardous waste.
