Scope

This document specifies the sampling tools, sampling conditions, sampling process, sample handling, sample transportation, and storage for diesel fuel sampling from the fuel tanks of in-use trucks (hereinafter referred to as "vehicles"). This document applies to diesel fuel sampling from the fuel tanks of in-use trucks for inspection and testing purposes. The sampling of diesel fuel from the fuel tanks of in-use special-purpose vehicles, wheeled special-purpose machinery, and non-road diesel mobile machinery shall be carried out in accordance with this document.
