Scope

This standard specifies the principles for evaluating issues that need to be considered in the design of fire and explosion prevention for offshore facilities, including risk assessment, quantitative design principles for fire load states, assessment principles for structural responses to fire, principles for fire mitigation, quantitative principles for explosion load states, assessment principles for structural responses to explosions, design principles for explosion mitigation, and the interaction between fire and explosions. This standard applies to the design evaluation of fire and explosion prevention for offshore facilities, and offshore facilities that are already in operation can also refer to this standard for verification.
