Scope

This standard specifies the basic dimensions and marking methods for the interchangeability of screw-mounted fuel filters for automotive diesel engines.
This standard applies to screw-mounted fuel filters for automotive diesel engines.
The preferred structure of screw-mounted fuel filters is without an internal sealing ring, which is specified in Chapter 2. If an internal sealing ring is required, the filter structure in Appendix A can be selected.
