Scope

This standard specifies the noise indicators, principled noise reduction measures, and methods of measuring noise for low-noise internal combustion engine power stations (hereinafter referred to as power stations). As for other performance indicators of power stations, they shall comply with the provisions of corresponding national standards, national military standards, and industry standards. This standard applies to power stations driven by reciprocating internal combustion engines (RIC) at a frequency of 50 Hz/60 Hz, 400 Hz, dual frequency (50 Hz/400 Hz), direct current, and alternating current for land and marine use. It does not apply to low-noise power stations for aviation or driving land vehicles and locomotives. For the methods of measuring, evaluating, and assessing noise specified in this standard, in addition to applying to the power stations specified in this standard, they also apply to any other internal combustion engine power stations.
