Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, basic parameters, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, and packaging, transportation, and storage for basic electrophoresis devices.
This standard applies to standalone basic electrophoresis devices (hereinafter referred to as electrophoresis devices) with an electrophoresis voltage not exceeding 10kV.
This standard does not apply to electrophoresis devices with fixed output values and electrophoresis analysis systems that perform semi-automatic or fully automatic processing of procedures such as sample loading, electrophoresis, staining, decolorization, gel scanning, and result processing.
