Scope
This document stipulates the requirements for the control of air pollutant emissions, monitoring, and supervision and management in the pharmaceutical industry. It applies to the management of air pollutant emissions in existing pharmaceutical enterprises or production facilities, as well as the environmental impact assessment, environmental protection facility design, completion environmental protection acceptance, and issuance of pollution discharge permits for pharmaceutical industry construction projects, and the management of air pollutant emissions after their commissioning. It also applies to the management of air pollutant emissions in pharmaceutical intermediates enterprises and their production facilities, drug R&D institutions and their experimental facilities. For the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry (C27) specified in GB/T 4754-2017, the requirements for sanitary materials and pharmaceutical products manufacturing (C277) and pharmaceutical excipients and packaging materials (C278) still apply to GB37823 and are not applicable to this document. This standard does not apply to the green level assessment of cloud-hosted data centers.
