Scope

This part of WS 322 stipulates the working procedures for prenatal screening of maternal serum in the second trimester, informed consent forms, the collection of screening materials and samples, laboratory testing, the notification of results, and the requirements for handling and follow-up of high-risk pregnant women.
This part is applicable to the serological prenatal screening of fetal common chromosomal abnormalities (Down's syndrome and trisomy 18) and open neural tube defects in pregnant women aged under 35 at the time of delivery.
