Scope
This standard specifies the AAL2 Common Partition Sublayer (CPS), the AAL2 segmentation and reassembly specific service convergence sublayer, and the specific service convergence sublayer for narrowband services. This standard does not include the signaling part of AAL2. This standard applies to AAL2 ATM switches and ATM access devices.
