Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the cultivation environment, pre-planting preparation, planting process, field management, harvesting, and storage/transportation for seed-used pumpkins grown in the "Tianfu He Tuo" region. This standard applies to the cultivation of seed-used pumpkins in the "Tianfu He Tuo" region. Main technical content: - Site environment: 3.1 Environmental conditions shall meet the requirements of NY/T 391. 3.2 Climate conditions: The frost-free period shall be greater than 110 days, and the active temperature sum above 10°C shall be more than 2,100°C. 3.3 Soil conditions: The soil should be loose, fertile, rich in organic matter, free from salinity and alkalinity, with a deep layer of sandy loam or light loam, and good drainage. Irrigation and drainage systems should be in place, allowing irrigation from the Yellow River (or wells). - Pre-planting preparation: 4.1 Pre-planting preparation: The previous crop should be corn, sorghum, wheat, or beans, with a rotation period of more than three years. 4.2 Soil preparation and fertilization: T/TFHT Z038-2020. In autumn, plow and level the soil, loosen and remove stubble, with a plowing depth of 20-30 cm and rotary tillage of 12 cm. In early spring, before planting, fertilize, plow, level, raise ridges, and cover with plastic film. Apply 2,000-3,000 kg of fully composted organic fertilizer or 500-1,000 kg of commercial organic fertilizer, and 15-20 kg of triple compound fertilizer per mu. The use of fertilizers shall comply with NY/T 394 requirements. - Seed selection and treatment: 4.3.1 Select high-yielding, disease-resistant, and non-GMO registered varieties. 4.3.2 Seed quality: Choose seeds with full grains, remove residual grains and impurities, with a purity of ≥95%, a neturity of ≥99%, a germination rate of ≥95%, and a moisture content of ≤10%. 4.3.3 Seed treatment: Before sowing, expose the seeds to sunlight for 2-3 days; soak them in 55°C warm water for 20 minutes, then soak in normal temperat
