Scope

This document describes the test methods for thermal expansion coefficients and residual stress of CVD ceramic coatings (with a coating thickness greater than 0.03 mm and a coating thickness less than one-quarter of the total thickness of the substrate and coating) from room temperature to 2,300 K, and specifies the sample preparation method, loading mode, loading rate, data collection, and reporting format.
This document is applicable to CVD ceramic coatings on metal or ceramic substrates. This test method can be used for material performance research, quality control, performance characterization, and data collection purposes.
