Scope

Main technical content: The production base should be located in an area with no pollution and good ecological conditions. It should be far away from industrial and mining areas and major highways and railways, and avoid industrial and urban pollution sources. At the same time, the farmland should have sustainable production capacity. The atmospheric, soil, and irrigation water conditions of the production base for high-quality rice in Yuan Shan, a green food production area, should comply with the provisions of NY/T 391. The principles and requirements for the use of fertilizers and pesticides in the production of high-quality rice in Yuan Shan should be implemented in accordance with NY/T 394; the principles and requirements for the safe use of pesticides to control pests and diseases, and the types of pesticides allowed and prohibited should be implemented in accordance with GB/T 8321.10 and NY/T 393. Production technology (variety selection): Select high-yielding, high-quality, disease-resistant, and adaptable varieties that are suitable for the Yuan Shan region and have been approved by Chongqing or the national authorities. These mainly include suitable hybrid high-quality rice varieties such as Yixiang 2115, which have good taste, good agronomic characteristics, and strong resistance. Field management (pest and disease control): Adopt green prevention and control measures: install solar-powered frequency-vibrating insect traps at a rate of 50 traps per hectare; place moth-attracting pheromone traps to trap second-generation moths and large moths during the rice seedling stage; control the number of pests and enhance field ventilation by raising fish, ducks, and frogs. Starting from mid-May, all solar-powered frequency-vibrating insect traps should be turned on to trap rice stem borer.
