Scope: This document specifies the recording items and standards for the variety name and origin, growth period, botanical characteristics, biological characteristics, stress resistance, disease resistance, insect resistance, storage, and uses of radishes. This document is applicable to the observation and recording of varieties during radish breeding, variety comparison trials, regional trials, and seed production. Main technical content: 5.6 Biological characteristics: - Yield: Fleshy root yield: Single root gross weight: Measure the weight of 10 representative plants at the mature stage of the bulb and record the average value. - Single root net weight: Measure the weight of 10 representative plants at the mature stage of the bulb after removing the leaf rosette and fine tail roots, and record the average value. - Ratio of fleshy root to leaf weight: Measure the ratio of fleshy root weight to leaf weight in 10 representative plants at the mature stage of the bulb and record the average value. - Unit area yield: Average single plant net weight × number of plants per mu, or actual weighing (t/hm2, kg/667m2). - Seed yield: Single plant gross seed yield: Measure the gross seed quantity of 10 representative plants and record the average value. - Single plant net seed yield: Measure the net seed quantity of 10 representative plants after removing the spines and record the average value. - Unit area yield: Average single plant net weight × number of plants per mu, or actual weighing (t/hm2, kg/667m2).
